Islas "PARA" Ladrones (Kahulu Chamorro) contradicts what Magellan labled us as when he first discovered the Mariana Islands (Islas "DELOS" Ladrones). The items that our ancestors took from his ship is nothing compared to what he and his crew took from us. Therefore the name of this song translates to “Isle FOR Thieves”, instead of “Isle OF Thieves.” This song sends off a message to all Chamorus to stand up, be brave, and believe in themselves for the people, the country, and for the future.
