Being a Linguistics student who has a pretty relaxed schedule this year, I am inclined to do something new. As my resolution this year, I might try teaching English and paper writing to certain countries like South Africa or Brazil. One of my reasons is that it's a cheaper way to travel in my style, which is learning about the culture of the places I visit.

Last year, I went to different countries with enough budget to do everything on my itinerary. This year, I will do it with a cause and an adventurous mind. When I say adventurous, it would be something like going to China where most people do not speak my language, or Cambodia where transportation in some parts of the country is such a challenge. Teaching English abroad would also be a perfect practice or experience for someone who wants to learn other languages as well.
